Henry the Eighth I Am, I Am

I've become rather infatuated with the story of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. It started with the movie, The Other Boleyn Girl, which I really enjoyed. I love watching something which inspires me to learn more about the subject later. After I watched that movie, I did a bunch of research on King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn to see which parts of the film were true. Imagine my surprise (I don't get Showtime, so I hadn't really paid attention to what it was about) to learn that the television series "The Tudors" was about this topic as well. Yay for me!

I've spent a majority of this weekend watching "The Tudors." So far I've watched nine of the twelve episodes and definitely consider myself hooked. I knew there was a lot of hype about the show, but of course I had to check it out for myself. I'm glad I did! If anyone enjoys great dramas with historical backgrounds, I highly recommend this show.
