My oldest nephew, Spenser, is ten. And by ten, I mean VERY ten. Like now he's too cool to give his Auntie a hug (although asking for gifts is totally normal and fine). Next year he'll be in sixth grade (!) - how did this happen? Wasn't I just in sixth grade? Plus, isn't that when you start liking girls? My nephew can't possibly be into girls yet, can he?!?! Oh, the horror. I still think he's Max's age (in fact, they look so much alike, I call Max the wrong name on a regular basis).
Spens loves his dog, Porter. He loves his friends. He's *FINALLY* moved out of collecting Pokemon cards (although he once told me he'd love all things Pokemon until the day he died) and into collecting baseball cards. He's very excited about those cards and asks me and my sister questions about them all the time. It's at those times we need our brothers there to help!
While I was there, I got him a binder and those clear card sheets to go inside so he could organize them. He has them organized by team, alphabetical, and by his favorites. He also loves rock collecting, solving puzzles, and dinosaurs. He's the smartest kid I know (but it's possible I'm a tad bit biased).
